CMPS Theory & User Reference Manual

The Theory Manual defines the governing equations, physical models, numerical methods, defaults, compatibility rules, and automatic option-selection logic where these are part of the formulation. The User Manual documents the controls exposed in the CMPS GUI, their simulation effects, and a direct theory reference for each technical option.

Edition: August 2026Audience: CMPS users and customersCoverage: Theory + complete GUI referenceCross-reference: GUI option → related theory section

Theory Manual

The theory pages form the mathematical and physical reference for CMPS. They include governing formulations, numerical closures, verified defaults, model compatibility, and automatic selection behavior where it affects the active solver formulation or available boundary/model data.

Governing formulationsCarrier equations, primitive/coupled variables, finite-volume residuals, and flow-regime logic.
Physical modelsTurbulence, multiphase flow, reacting flow, solids, walls, materials, and compatibility.
Numerical methodsFluxes, reconstruction, time integration, nonlinear/linear solution, and multigrid.
Execution and NeuralFlowParallel/GPU execution and the NeuralFlow learned-solver formulation.

User Manual — GUI Reference

The User Manual is an option-by-option reference to the CMPS GUI. Each technical control records its meaning or formulation, current default or automatic availability where verified, effect on the simulation, practical guidance, and a link to the related Theory Manual section.
